Indian Railways Signal and Telecommunication Maintainers' Union (IRSTMU) demands to provide the Tablet Phones to S&T Staffs for latest procedure of maintenance after introduction of SMMS. As S&T department has drastically changed the procedures of maintenance of S&T gears and introduced advanced and online techniques of maintenance and introduced SMMS online based maintenance system, it’s now an urgent need of Tablet Phones to S&T Staffs. So, IRSTMU asked to provide the Tablet Phones to S&T Staffs who are maintain S&T gears like SSE(Signal), SSE (Telecom), JE(Signal), JE (Telecom), Technician (Signal) and Technician (Telecom). It will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance of S&T gears as well as Railway Board’s goal for introduction of SMMS like effective and advanced maintenance technique.
